Well actually Paula i am kinda doing that but the other way round. She is having a bottle at 1130 then lunch at 1230 with dinner at about 4 - 430 and its seems to be going ok. She has only taken 4 oz so far but i'm sure she'll up it if i keep consistent with the timings.
Well things are just getting worse here! Reflux flare is getting worse, her breath is not so nice at mo, spit ups, hiccups etc and she has been back on the Enfamil now but then she started with a cold last night has been really bad, hardly slept last night and ended up in bed with me as i just couldn't get her off as she was so distressed about not being able to breath! She is also that OT she seems to have lost the ability to self settle so there has been ALOT of AP going on....i am just hoping she will return to 'normal' once better! I did managed to get her to nap i her cot this aft, she has had about 1hr 20mins so far and has just woke, so at least she slept.
I will not let her sleep in my bed tonight though as i am not even going to go down that road!
Hope you are having a better time than me!

Hugs hun, I am sorry she is feeling so poorly. Hope that she is better soon.
Is she teething at the moment? This could be why the reflux has flared up so badly. Hope that she starts sleeping better for.
Things on our side are ok. We are all really tired, tried to wean DD's dummy today, needless to say it has been a loooooong day, and still ended up giving it to her tonight as she just could not settle to sleep

Hi Paula,
(((Hugs))) on dummy weaning! I got rid of Adaias at 4mths. Do kinda miss it sometimes, but am so glad i did it.
Well Adaia has got a chest infection! She has been awful over the weekend. Reflux flare has gone but the chest infection was just causing her so much distress. She has ended up sleeping in her pram! Have done ALOT of AP so will need to do some serious strict get back on track sleep training when shes better but tbh i allowed getting her to sleep be the priority as she will never recover is shes not sleeping. She got some antibiotics today so hopefully i'll get her back in her cot in a couple of days.
Hope the dummy weaning has got better! Oh and i bought some SMA staydown and she took 5oz half and half earlier to will wean her onto it gradually but she doesn't seem to bothered by the taste.

Hey Paula....Huge hugs back atcha with the dummy weaning!
Adaia seems to be getting better. Last night was a vast improvement sleepwise. Woke once for a feed at about 1230, then had a coughing fit until about 1.15 but then slept until 7.25! Had been in bed since 6.45 so loads and loads better. Still sleeping in pram, as she is still very congested but if she is better tom i'll get her back in her cot.
One question....have you ever had to remove your lo from the cot into the pram for e.g for illness like i have? Or do you know anyone that has? Was it a mare to get them back in the cot. I am DREADING all the screaming that is going to come with it. Maybe i am just thinking too much into it!

I am pleased that she is feeling better.
We have not had to put DD in a pram and then put her back in the cot, but we did have a similar situation a few months ago where we were on holiday, but were staying with friends, and the rooms that we were in were on opposite ends of the house, so DH had to share a room with DS in single beds, and DD shared a double bed with me. She got so used to sleeping with, I was panicking that I would not get her back into her bed after that.
We did kinda like a gradual withdrawal, where we put her back in her bed, stayed in the room and just put our hand on her bed so she could see I was there. I did not look at her at all, so was not making any contact. If she cried, I would shhh her and pat her, but that was it. After a few days I moved further away from her bed, and moved my hand closer to the edge etc, until I was eventually out of the room. It seemed to work ok.
Perhaps you could adopt something similar. You could even let her fall asleep in the pram, and when she is asleep transfer her to the cot, so when she wakes up in the morning or for a feed, she will be in her bed.
Is she napping in the pram too, or is she in the cot? If she is napping in the pram, you can try and put her back int he cot for naps first and see how she gets on.

She fell asleep on the bottle tonight so i put her in her cot, lasted 30 mins! She woke up coughing!
She has been doing all sleeping in the pram, but will try that method once i know she is better enough to sleep lying down.
The fun never ends eh! How old is your lo?

Hugs, I would definitely try once she is feeling better. It is probably easier for her to breathe with her being propped up a bit.
My DD is 2 years old now.

Well i had a fab night even though she was in her pram! Didn't wake from 6 til 3.50, took 4oz milk then slept til 7.25! Good girl lol.
She only took 3.5oz milk this morning though so once she is better i think i'm just gonna have to stop the night feed and give her water to discourage it.
I thought about putting her in her cot today and tonight but she is still very congested and had a major coughing fit at 4 this morning so i think i'll give the antibiotics another day. On a good note though she did self settle this morning so i think maybe i'll work on the self settling in the pram for another day then if shes better tom i'll put her in her cot. One thing at a time. Does this sound ok?
Hope you had a good night...how is the dummy weaning going? You are brave attempting it at 2. I know my sister gave her daughters to father Christmas when she was just over 3.

I would deifintley wait until she is better as you don't want to get her too upset and then start off a coughing fit. Once you know she is better you can tackle the pram.
I am pleased that you had a good night. Again, I would not worry about the night feed until you know she is better and you can then work on it again.
The dummy is going good, she did not have it all day, and had it just as I put her to bed. Going to keep this going for a while and then try and get it off her at night.
Keep us posted on how Adaia is doing.

Well 1st nap in her cot, did the usual wind down routine as per before she went in the pram. Did everything as per before, as in walk out the room too, and she cried for about a second, talked for about a minute and went to sleep!!! OMG shocked is not the word! That was about 20 mins ago, so i'm off to have a shower incase its a short nap...but how good a day am i having lol!

The only difference in feeding is that i put her onto Jars firstly it was to see if i was feeding her the correct texture for her age and to see if she could eat them. I noticed her sleeping so much better the first night, so i gave it another day. Yesterday she had 1/2 stage 2 jar and fruit and for tea had a whole stage 2 jar. She loves it and slept all night.
I am not saying that the jars are any better but i am thinking they have more calories in them and are obviously tailor made so are giving her everything she needs. Maybe my food is a bit too low of the fat and calories side. I think what i am going to do is continue with the extra bottle at 1130, she has been taking this well, carry on giving her the jars and also cook off some fresh veggies, freeze them into little pots and then give then to her at meal times as finger food. I will also continue to give my food for lunch, as she only has half a jar then anyway.
But after a good night she took 6oz milk, has been having 4 - 5 oz at 1130 then 6 before bed but hopefully she'll up it even more once all the congestion has gone.
Quick question Paula, When you say your lo didn't like the SMA, how much would she drink? Do you think Adaia must like it if she is taking 6oz? She doesn't seem bothered about drinking it. Doesn't quite drink it down as well as the Enfamil but then she has been ill too. She will also only drink it very warm! As soon as it cools she refuses it and i have to go reheat!

Fantastic news on her sleeping all night and getting her down in the cot for her nap. Well done to both of you.
My DD did not like the taste at all and would drink an oz 2 max before pushing the bottle away. Definitely sounds like she is liking the formula. I must advise you not to re-heat the formula though, it is not recommended to re-heat.
What size teat is she using?
