Nauvoo, that's all we seem to be getting around here is 1 hour 5 min or 1 hour 10 minute naps here.  We're in a total mess as far as routine goes.  Tomorrow I'm determined to cut the first A time short and beat this OT.  Our day today started at 5:15 and ended at 6:50 with only 2 hours worth of naps.  I need someone to write me out the rules of A times.  Like, what to do in particular cases of short nights or short naps.  I just keep messing this up.
As for teething, we're going to get it bad here, too.  12 months old and only 2 teeth.  Yikes!

Wow, NO TEETH.  Crazy.  and I thought 4 wasn't many!
Gavinsmum, I always think I need someone to spell it out for me but I'm convinced as soon as they do things will change and it won't be helpful.  I am completely lost myself.

I GOT A 1.5 HOUR NAP TODAY!!!!
I bet it would have been longer but I woke her so she would go to bed before 8pm.  YEAH!!!  This could be hope for the future.
She had a 40 minute nap at church this morning so that means more than 2hrs of day sleep which has not happened in forever.

Yeah for good starts!! ;D
I just have to post our day.
She woke at 6:15am which was the only thing that wasn't great today.  She stayed in bed until about 7am.
Nap #1 at 10:20am and woke at 11am.
Nap #2 at 2:20pm and I woke her at 3:50pm.
Bed at 7:30pm.  She was very very crabby towards the end of the day and when I went to put her in her crib she was really clingy like she didn't want me to put her down but when I did she looked at me with a frown and just closed her eyes and literally was out in minutes.  I don't know why she was soooooo tired with 1.5 hour nap in the pm?  I'm just so glad to get something longer than 1 hour!!!

Hi Ladies!
Just though i'd pop in here one last time before we leave for our holidays tomorrow morning....Caleb had yet another crib party last night, although it was rather earlier in the morning..he was up from 5:30-6:30am, having gone to bed late at 8:30 last night, i knew he wasn't "done" with sleep, so i just left him and he fell asleep again at 6:45, i woke him at 8am, but it was clear he wanted to keep sleeping...poor little bub, i feel so bad taking him out of such a great sleep, but the day just gets too late if i let him sleep in any more. I just wished i knew why he's having so many NW's...no point in tweaking anything now anyways, we're gone for a week and my motto is "do whatever it takes to survive..." lol....Of course, some OT is inevitable with travel, but i'll do as much APOP as I can get away with so that he's not a complete OT wreck by the time we come home. I'm feeling a bit anxious about the whole thing...send me some "good sleep on the go" vibes!!
Hope you all have a great sleep filled week...will update next weekend!
PS. Nauvoo06, DS also had a great 1.5h am nap and then 45 min catnap...and was still beyond crabby by bedtime!! Go figure!! I also had to wake DS from his last nap, i wonder if they just get cranky from being woken like that...i know i would!! lol!

Flightmommy, sending some sleepy vibes your way!  Enjoy your vacation! Don't you find the no teeth thing such a pain with food?  I feel like I'm pureeing things to death and he's eating all the same things in rotation.
We also had a great nap day today.  2 hours total daytime sleep~ one nap had a dirty diaper and he still slept through an hour and 20 min!! We're on some sort of right track here, but we'll see how the next couple of days go!!

Well my LO woke at 7:30 after a 12 hour night, and did 4.5 hours A time so she went down at 12:00 noon.  Woke at 1:20 pm.  What on earth do I do know????  Try a cat nap or just go for an early bedtime?  1 hour 20 minutes is not much but trying to get a cat nap in before 5 pm might be torture. Any suggestions?

Nauvoo, I'm not sure.  If you think that there's going to be a big battle for the catnap, then just leave it and go for an early bedtime.
We had an awesome night!! 11.5 hours sleep!  We haven't had one of those in a looooong while.

I'm just curious about how going to 1 nap changes the E part of EASY? So if DS is currently doing 4 milk feeds a day, once he goes to 1 nap, is that when we switch to 3 milk feeds a day? And if he eats lunch around 12:30, when do LOs typically eat lunch with the 1 nap?  We are still a good way away from 1 nap but I'm a planner and like to know where we are headed with our routine  ;)

Well it does get a little wacky.  We generally try to do milk feeds at the same time everyday and we are working our way down to two milk feeds, like today.  I did half of lunch before her nap today and half after.
Yes just one SHORT nap here today and it's an early bedtime.  I tried to get the cat nap in but no way.  We did end up getting a little quiet time in so I hope it helps.  And here's hoping for another 12 hour night so our wake up in the morning goes well.

Good luck with the 12hr night -  that sounds so nice.
We are starting to move towards 10.5/10hr nights.  eek.  Needing to tweak somewhere. Just not sure where. It is just a never ending puzzle...

Mstrboo, with my first son (who's now almost three), we did part of lunch before and part after until he started napping at 12:30 or 1:00 and then we just moved it before the nap.
With the milk feeds, we're right now down to just three feeds a day, one split with lunch.  7:00, some milk at lunch and the rest at 1:30, and 6:45 or 7 pm.

Well after our 1 nap day of only 1 hour 20 minutes sleep we got a decent night.  She went to bed at 6:25pm and woke at 6:10am.  She only did about 3 hours 45 minutes A time this morning which is unusual after an almost 12 hour night, so we will be trying to catch up on sleep today.
