my daughter is almost 5 months old (july 2) and the last couple of weeks have been extremly trying to say the least. i've posted a couple of different things in the nightwaking and nap boards ...
last night we put her to bed a bit earlier and the first part of the night seemed to go ok. she still woke up around 2am and after nursing her, almost falling asleep, and nursing her again, she finally fell asleep around 315am.
today, she woke around 6am (which is normal for her) but then was rubbing her eyes a lot not 45 min later! so i put her down - she slept from about 715am-8am, was up until 950am then slept until about 11 ... she poo'd, which of course, woke her up ... she was up for about 30 minutes and starting getting really upset, so i went up to her nursery, put her sleep-sack on, and held her, and sure enough she started turning her head into me and rubbing her eyes and crying a little ... after about 10 minutes of this, she is now out like a light.
her A times are pretty low key, i think, so i don't know if she's OS. generally, we have some tickle time on her change table, maybe some tummy time in her crib or elsewhere, spend some time in her exersaucer (because she loves pushing up on her legs), hang out in her booster/high chair with her Sophie for a bit while i grab something to eat or clean up the kitchen .... i've tried extending her A times over the last couple of days, and sometimes it seems to go ok, and other times not. she rubs her eyes a lot as well, so i'm thinking she's OT ... aside from moving her bedtime earlier, what other ideas are out there to help?
thanks so much
