Change in wake up time?
« on: February 08, 2012, 06:40:23 AM »
My LO had her second set of jabs last week & had a few restless nights after this. Although she appears to be settling into her old pattern of sleeping through from her BT of 7/7.30 including a DF at 10.30 she is now waking at 6.30 on the dot every morning whereas previously she was sleeping unt 7.30ish. Should I take 6.30 as her new wake up time, or try & tweak it so she stays asleep longer? If the first, should I put her down earlier in the evening, at 6.30pm, as she is showing signs of tiredness earlier now too? Many thanks in advance for your support & advice.

I suspect she is looking tired earlier as she is getting up earlier.  I would put her down around 6:30pm for a few days and then slowly in10 minute or so increments every few days move bedtime later until you have her bedtime and wake up a little more where you would like them to be and where they work for her.

Thank you for this advice. I did as suggested last night and she woke several times in the night, but she has a cold at the moment so I'll until that is over before trying to change the time in increments.

Sounds like a good idea.  Keep the routines consistent as it will make getting back on track easier once the cold is over.
