Hi,
Although bedtime hasn't been going that well for a while- we were finally getting back on track (wi/wo) when dd (22months) started climbing out of her cot so, although it wasn't the best time, we had to take the side off. She can climb over the stairgate so she can wander out of her room as she likes.
I started with normal bedtime routine, the first couple of nights weren't to bad- I sat with her till she went to sleep (as she kept on climbing out) and it took about 45mins from lights out.
Te last few days have been awful- more like 2 hours to get to sleep. She wants more and more stories and is very reluctant to lie down and when I do eventually get her to, she's up and down like a yoyo. So I have been standing outside and then putting her back in her bed when she gets to the door (about once every 20secs
) till eventually she crashes out. A couple of hours later.
Is this the best approach do you think?
Wu- between 5 and 6
Nap - 12ish for an hour
Lights out- 6.15
Thanks for reading, if anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it
