Baby hungry by 7pm

HI

I'm trying to start a good EASY routine for my 4.5 month old.
The aim is:

E - 7am
A - 7.30 - 8.30
E - top up 8.30
S - 9 -10.30 / 11am
E - 10.30am / 11am
A - 11 - 12.30
S - 12.30 - 14.00
E - 14.00
A - 14.30 - 16. 00
S - 16.00 - 17.30
E - 17.30
A - 18.00
E - currently fed to sleep but trying to change this
S - 19.30

Currently she's ravenous by 19.15 - basically after bathtime. I don't know if it's that she knows food comes after bath and is impatient or she's starving for food. It really disrupts the wind down because she cries hysterically until I feed her. Not very calming or sleep inducing. Can anyone help me fix the routine so she's read for bed but not so ravenous by the end of the day. Is that even possible?

At that age, I would split the feed around bath otherwise it was a fuss fest during bath & massage.  So I would feed on WU from CN, then before & after bath. Have you considered that it just might be that she is ready to sleep a bit earlier and the crying is related to over tiredness? Just a thought.

Thanks ladies for your replies.

Buttonbobs - she's Breastfed, though she's just this last week started taking the bottle. I'm going to try and express BM and give that in the evenings so I'm sure of what she's getting. At the mo she has a little formula at night and I breastfeed.

Newkidontheblock: Yeah you're probably right. I will try the feeding from CN and then before and after bath. Thanks

In that case, I definitely agree this age is prime for cluster feeding at this time of night. I didn't have to so much when my DD was FF but in those weeks when I was BFing she really needed those cluster feeds before bed.

Good luck x
