Should I dreamfeed an alert 5.5 months old?
« on: February 06, 2017, 06:20:11 am »
My 5.5 months ate a lot at 7pm and was sleeping at 7:20 but woke up and fuzzy for an hour.  He went to bed without eating at 9pm.  Since it took me so long to put him down I really hesitate to dreamfeed him! Yet I worry he can't last till the morning.  He usually wakes up around 9ish and I would just feed him.  Now I don't know what to do!

In general I always hesitate to dreamfeed because my baby is very alert and Ive waken him a number of times.  But without a dreamfeed I worry he can't last till the morning!  I heard some babies can sleep twelve hours but I'm purely breastfeed so really doubt!

Any advice anyone?

Mine always woke up in time for the DF so it wasn't an official dream feed at all but rather a habit to wake at that time. It never bothered me though as mine just had a nappy change, feed and back into bed and straight to sleep.  Maybe yours would just go back to sleep too?
